Hello, my name is John, and I’m the manager at Angélique’s, a wine house located in the heart of central London at St Christopher’s Place. Angélique’s is a well-known and highly reputed wine bar, famous for its exceptional cheeseboards and charcuterie.

What makes your business so special?

We take pride in our curated selection of wines, with over 200 varieties available. One standout is the iconic Purple Angel, which is closely associated with our name and has become something of a signature wine for us.

What do you love about your role?

As the manager, I personally curate the wine list to reflect the preferences and tastes of our clientele. It’s a task I genuinely enjoy—I mean, who wouldn’t love tasting wines as part of their job? It’s a wonderful way to ensure we’re offering the best options for our guests here in St Christopher’s Place and Bond Street, especially given our location in central London.

What do you love most about St Christopher’s Place?

One of the things I love most about St Christopher’s Place is the hospitality – meeting and connecting with people from all over the world. London is such a vibrant, multicultural city. We welcome guests from the United States, Europe, Asia, and beyond, and it’s a joy to engage with such a diverse crowd.

Even within our team, we reflect that diversity. For instance, one of my colleagues is from Poland, and working with people from different cultural backgrounds is truly enriching. It makes every day unique and enjoyable.
